Hello Baby Bump

But Hello little pudgy Baby Bump!! πŸ’•πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ☀️
This experience with my body changing over the past 12 weeks has been very interesting! I was so sick you guys, I can't even begin to tell you. So nauseated, so tired, my food as versions left about 4 foods I could eat...all doughnut related πŸ˜‚ however this pregnancy has already proven to be VERY different than my last pregnancy! With Brodilynn, I didn't workout, I didn't eat well, I had all sorts of ailments and soreness. I had no concern over my own health and said "I'll eat whatever now and work it off later"
This pregnancy I am 150% committed to my health! I am fully back at working out and follow my meal plan (plus a few extra containers πŸ˜‰) <--- truth is..."working it off later" is super lame & ALOT more challenging than you'd think!
As for workouts...I have a few programs in mind, all suitable for my different stages of pregnancy! I am going to bring you guys along on my journey through each of them! Nope, pregnancy is NOT an excuse to keep moving and I know how insane labour is haha im training for that!
As for Shakeology...YES YES YES! Why wouldn't I offer up Raw, Organic superfoods to my little peanut (and avoid depriving myself of the nutrients)?! Totally safe for pregnant & nursing mommas πŸ’•πŸŒ± Serves as a prenatal (and not a synthetically made one <--- all nature intended baby!) and any excuse for chocolate right?!
I had to take a little time off these past couple of months, not following a schedule. I worked out when I could, I drink Shakeology & juiced because you cannot survive on cereal, and I slept...ALOT! I have OFFICIALLY entered into my Second Trimester which is already proving to be full of energy & motivation! So I am BACK AT IT!
As for coaching...just another one of the million reasons I love my job! I was able to work from my bed when I was certain I was dying & I ran a challenge group with some seriously amazing ladies! Guys...I am ALL IN! I am beyond excited to share this new journey with you & show you that this is NOT all about weightloss but learning to live a healthy, fulfilling life! Real talk tho...if I can do this pregnant through all the ups and downs, you have NO EXCUSES!
Challenge group starts next Monday! I am 100% participating in this with the same program all my ladies are doing! My goals are a little different this time, my meal plan is a little different but my desire to make positive movements in my life and your life remains the same! I have a couple of spots available of this month if your wanting to jump in with us! ☀️

WERE PREGNANT!!!!


This has to be one of the most fabulous, emotional, wonderful blogs I have EVER written and we are SO happy to share this news with you!! This blog and its community has become such an amazing place to share my weightloss & health journey,  my business success journey, my #FitFoodie recipes, my hardships, my triumphs....you have supported me, shared your love, questions, frustrations, stories and lives with me, and now I can’t wait to share ours!

Becoming a mom was the most incredible adventure of my life! I couldn't have asked for a bigger blessing.  I thank Brodilynn ever single day for choosing me as her Momma and she has single-handedly ROCKED my world.



Andre came into our life a year and a half ago.  I feel like in some weird Soul Searching way he has always been in my life, just at a distance. He is my best friend, my partner, my rock. He pushing me to accomplish things I don't always believe are possible.  He is the glue to our little family. He came into our life, without any doubts or hesitations, took on the role of being my better half & filling in all the holes I had missing. He is my most amazing partner in raising Brodilynn I ever could have asked for.

Today I get to share with you guys, my most WONDERFUL community, that WE ARE EXPECTING!  Growing our little family has been a crazy, PERFECT journey and I cannot wait to expand our love even further! I am most excited to watch my EVERYTHING become a big sister, an older sibling, and have someone to share this beautiful life with.  

This pregnancy has been nothing less than a CRAZY adventure already! Between the extreme nausea, the fatigue, the food aversions (I literally lived off cereal & scrambled eggs for 6 weeks), the hormones, and the telling our families... I always thought the second pregnancy would be a breeze! You already know what to expect, your "prepared" and your not so much worried about the maternal instinct you think you may not even have.  But its NOT breezier! The second time around has been SO SO different already, I feel like a newbie all over again and I still jump out of bed far too excited to check and see what size fruit my little nugget is today!

I am going to be posting ALOT about this pregnancy...I want to share the entire journey with you all! The struggles, the progress, the excitements and the fruit sizes lol

Before I end this wonderful announcement, a few of the questions our loved ones have asked:
1. We are going to keep the gender a surprise, so we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl!
2. YES, I am going to continue on my health journey! with a few modifications of course, I am going to be working my way through a couple of different programs I already have chosen best suited for each stage of the pregnancy.  Yes, I will stick to a meal plan...I GET MORE CARBS!!!! <---This is EXCITING! And YES, I am going to continue with Shakeology (more coming on this later!) Because why wouldn't I give my new little life the best damn start I possibly can?! <3
Lastly, I want to say how GRATEFUL we feel that we have been blessed with this miracle. We realize that it’s not always easy to conceive and what a gift this is. We can’t WAIT to meet our little peanut and keep you posted along the way!

Clean Eating Tortilla Soup


Rainy days & a sick family call for spicy, warm soup! Tortilla soup will always be one of my favourites! Here is my version made healthy & 21 Day Fix Approved!

Clean Eating Tortilla Soup

Ingredients

4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 shredded chicken breast (optional - i had a cooked one leftover)1 cup red salsa
1 can green chilis
1 tbsp lime juice
1 cup coleslaw cabbage mix
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chipotle powder

Tortilla Chips


Directions

Throw together everything except avocado, chips and cheese in a pot and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
⭐️top with half a chopped avocado, crushed tortilla chips and a tbsp Mozzarella cheese

 1.5 cups - 1 blue, 1/2 green, 1 yellow
1/2 blue of avocado, half a blue of cheese, 1/2 a green, 1 yellow tortilla chips

Healthy Breakfast Burrito




I am not a huge breakfast person BUT I totally am a foodie so making things that aren't time consuming but not bland for breakfast is a chore for me! I added these healthy breakfast burritos to my meal plan for this week! I made 6 of them ahead of time and FROZE Them! now I can throw them in the microwave or oven for a wicked breakfast that is stress-free!!

Healthy Breakfast Burrito

*Makes 6 Burritos

Ingredients:

1.5 lB Ground Turkey
6 Eggs
6 Whole Wheat Tortilla Wraps (or whatever healthy kind you like!)
1 Yellow Pepper, chopped
1 Red Pepper, chopped
1 Onion, chopped
2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1Tbsp Coconut oil
1 tsp each Cumin/Garlic Powder
1 tsp each Himalayan Salt/pepper

Directions:

1. Heat 1 tsp of Coconut Oil in a frying pan. Add cumin, garlic and ground turkey. Cook turkey thoroughly, then add your eggs.  Continue to scramble until eggs are also cooked. Transfer to bowl and set aside. 
2. Place the rest of the oil into the pan, add peppers & onions and cook for about 5 minutes or until onions are translucent.
3. Using one tortilla at a time,  place 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese (blue container), then top with 2 spoons for the pepper mixture & 3/4 cup of turkey/egg mixture.  I topped my filling with Sriracha hot sauce but you could use a bit of any sauce you'd like!)
4. Roll burrito to close off both ends. REPEAT with all 6 burritos!

 If you are meal prepping to eat later, wrap the burritos in wax paper & freeze them ;)

Healthy Beef & Broccoli



Who doesn't LOVE Chinese food! This recipe is literally FASTER than takeout & leaves you feeling a lot better.  This recipe was about 20 minutes start to finish, the rice taking the longest to make! Kid, Beast  & 21 Day Fix approved!

Makes enough for 2 so if your a family of 4, just double it!


Healthy Beef & Broccoli

Ingredients:

1lb Stew Meat (I actually used moose), cut into slightly smaller pieces.
2 cups Broccoli
2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
3 Tbsp Braggs Aminos
1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
2 Tbsp Beef Stock (or veggie stock)
1 Tbsp Fresh Ginger
2 Cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 Tsp Corn Starch


Directions:

1. Put 1 tsp of the sesame oil into pan with ginger, garlic and meat & cook until browned. Add broccoli & 1 tbsp of water & steam with lid on for 5 minutes.
2. Whisk together remaining oil, beef stock, aminos, rice vinegar & corn starch.
3. Remove lid from pan, cook off remaining water. Add the mixture you made & let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes.

Serve over rice!

**21 Day Fixers**
Split recipe in 2... 1 red, 1 green, 2 tsp. (1 yellow if your putting over a yellow container of rice!)
